Issue 107

The City Hall entrance at Mayfield Heights, with CITY HALL lettered above the door

Issue 107 is on the ballot in Mayfield Heights on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. It asks voters to restore the executive office park zoning on the Parkland Blvd property that City Council rezoned for townhouses.

What your vote does

  • A Yes vote restores the property’s U-7 executive office park zoning, keeping the land set aside for offices and the jobs that come with them.
  • A No vote leaves Council’s rezoning in place, allowing 61 townhouses to be built on the site.

What Issue 107 is not

  • It is not a tax increase. Issue 107 changes zoning, not tax rates.
  • It is not a vote against housing or against growth. Townhouses do not belong in executive office parks. Issue 107 fixes Council’s mistake.

What is at stake

  • Office jobs on Parkland Blvd generate the income-tax revenue that funds our police, our fire department, and city services.
  • City code allows 36 units on the site. The plan is for 61.
  • Residents asked to be heard before the rezoning and were told their letters would not be considered.

How we got here

We talked to voters across the city and collected about 750 signatures. The Board of Elections reviewed them and certified that we had more than enough valid signatures to put the question on the ballot. Council had one more chance to adopt the ordinance and fix its own mistake, and chose not to. So now the voters will.
